Choose a size you’re interested in. My most popular sizes are 11x14 and 16x20, which are a great size for any room, and large enough to provide excellent detail. The 18x24 is common for those hanging the piece in a large living area, a full-sized wall, as a centerpiece, or for multiple pets in one portrait. As a general rule of thumb, the larger the portrait - the more detailed the drawing. If you need help selecting a size, just CONTACT ME, and I’d be glad to help you pick a size.

Backgrounds are an additional 40% per size,
simply because of the additional time they require to draw.
WAITING LIST TIMES
Waiting list times can range between 2 to 9 months depending on the time of year. Special Occasion Dates and Quick Turnaround Deadlines can usually be accommodated if specifically requested.
Please send your photo(s) to carmadystudios@gmail.com.
Portraits are drawn on blank paper by looking at a reference photo(s) provided by you. The sharper the photo, the more detail in your portrait. When you’ve picked out a sharp/clear photo with good lighting, please send it to carmadystudios@gmail.com. If you can’t decide on a good photo, send as many as you like to me and I’ll look them over.
If you have limited or poor photos, such as the case for a surprise gift — don’t worry! I have worked with all kinds of photos in the past and have creatively been able to make a beautiful portrait by skillfully filling in the missing details. If you'd like some help picking/taking a great photo, see my Photo Tips for some helpful advice.
Contact me with the size of portrait you’re interested in and your photo(s). Once we determine your project, I will send an invoice through PayPal for the $70 deposit and put you on the schedule. I will communicate with you when I begin the drawing and show you progress photos. The balance of the portrait can be paid when the artwork is complete.
I am usually scheduled out from 2-9 months, but I will let you know the approximate time I can start on your piece. Please also mention if you have any special deadlines you’d like the portrait for. I love working with deadlines for amazing surprise gifts!
Do you draw human portraits? - Yes! Although, people take MUCH longer to draw than furry people (often twice as long because facial details are so important), so human portraits are 70% more per size. If you’re interested in this, contact me to discuss your portrait.
How long does it take to do a drawing? A portrait takes about 15-50 hours to draw, and even more for larger sizes. There is also a considerable amount of time “prepping” a portrait, which includes planning out the portrait using imaging software before actually drawing it - this can especially take many hours if a client wants me to draw the head of one photograph onto the body of another, and I need to research body proportions of certain breeds, or if I’m designing a custom background.
I’m currently scheduled out 2-9 months, but if you have a special occasion you’d like a portrait for (Christmas! Birthday Gifts!), I’d be glad to work my schedule around if possible to get you your piece in time!
If you have a unique background or portrait idea, please send a message so we can collaborate on your idea!
